Special winter equipment

From the end of October to the end of March, we strongly advise you to come and visit us with your special equipment.
For safety’s sake, as soon as the thermometer dips below 7°C, snow tires are recommended for extra grip.
Not in the mood for winter tires? At the very least, you’ll need snow chains, which are compulsory on some of our roads. A little tip: put them on top of your suitcases, so you don’t have to empty your trunk to take them out.

Information on road closures

Winter weather conditions and snow can disrupt road conditions and have an impact on the opening of certain mountain passes. Before setting off, check road conditions and pass openings in real time on the Itinisère website!
