Located in the heart of the Vallée de l'Eau d'Olle, OZ en OISANS ranges from 800 to 1350 m above sea level between Belledonne and Les Grandes Rousses.

Since the 1980s, archaeological surveys have been carried out in the Rousses massif in order to locate, date and analyse the activity of old mining sites.
Among the sites discovered are lead, copper and silver mines exploited from protohistory to modern times.
The remains of a major mining operation were spotted some twenty years ago above Lac du Milieu. The disappearance of the ice and the snowfields that blocked the construction sites allowed this to be studied.
This exhibition invites you to discover the results of this research.
