La Mythique 21 is a gathering of cyclists who are passionate about vintage bikes, the history of cycling and the Tour de France. Bikes dating from the 50's to the 80's, and period clothing!

Sunday, July 6:
7:00 am: Gather in front of La salle du Quartz in Bourg d'Oisans for briefing and breakfast.
9:00 am: Departure from Bourg d'Oisans in a parade through the center of Bourg d'Oisans to the roundabout - Sarenne parking lot.
Ascent of Alpe d'Huez.
11:30 am: Gathering at the Tour de France red flame, entrance to the old Alpe.
Parade along the Tour de France route in Alpe d'Huez to the Etendard roundabout.

Descent via Le Pas de la Confession - Villard Reculas - Allemond (Optional).
Return to Bourg d'Oisans on the greenway.
Exhibition of bikes and participating cyclists, prize-giving ceremony, discussion of the history of cycling and the Tour de France with holidaymakers at the Foyer Municipal.
Aperitif dinner
Rules for bikes and cyclists: vintage bikes from the 50s, 60s, 70s, early 80s with brake cables passing over the handlebars, gearshifts on the down tube and foot straps. The cyclist must wear a jersey in keeping with the era of the bike (wool, acrylic or lycra). The helmet, which is compulsory, can be a current helmet.
Safety: Cyclists must wear a helmet (current model authorized). The rules of the road must be observed throughout the course, and cyclists must keep to the right in line. The opening car must not be overtaken. The bends on the Alpe d'Huez climb must not be cut.
Mechanical assistance will be provided by volunteers on electric bikes, and a 9-seater van and broom wagon will close the road. Participants not wishing to return via the Pas de la Confession will be picked up by the broom wagon.
Liability: Participants must provide a medical certificate stating that they are fit to cycle, or a FFC/UFOLEP/UCI license (compulsory). They must also have civil liability insurance.
LaBicicletta.fr and Oisans Vélo Vintage decline all responsibility in the event of an accident.
Participants agree to accept these rules at the time of registration.
A medical certificate of fitness for cycling or UCI, FFC or Ufolep licenses will be required (MANDATORY).
Participants must pay the registration fee, which is non-refundable except in the event of illness (on presentation of a medical certificate).
