The Brevet Randonneur des Alpes (BRA) is THE oldest mountain bike touring event. Created in 1936, this event is celebrating its 52nd edition.

For the 3rd time, the hike will start from the Bourg d'Oisans town hall.
Whether you choose the BAC option (Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th) or the BRA option (Sunday 13th), your hike will start with an ascent of the Col de la Croix de Fer (alt 2067 m) up the Eau d'Olle valley, with a landing at the Col du Glandon, giving you a view of Mont Blanc over the Col de la Madeleine.

From the Col de la Croix de Fer you can admire the crystalline trident of the Aiguilles d'Arves before descending through the village resorts of St Sorlin and St Jean d'Arves.
Then the Col du Mollard (alt 1615 m) takes you into the Maurienne valley, via Gévoudaz .
At St Michel de Maurienne, you'll reach the halfway point and start climbing the Col du Télégraphe (alt 1567 m), before gliding down to Valloire (alt 150 m), a charming village resort with 17 hamlets and bell towers.
The Col du Galibier (alt 2642 m) will then be within your grasp at the end of a 3-stage ascent: in 2 km you'll be at Le Verneys, then 7 km further on at Plan Lachat (alt 1980 m), and the last 8 km will no longer stand in your way.
You'll need to be wary of the exhilaration of the peaks on the descent to the Col du Lautaret.
To reach Bourg d'Oisans (alt 720 m), if you're still feeling strong, take the BRA+ or BAC + option via the Armentier lookout (alt 1320 m), or the super BAC or super BRA option via the Col de Sarenne (alt 1999 m).
For those who would like to take part in the festival on a lighter route, we are offering a discovery tour of the Oisans on Sunday to meet the BRA.
This W.E. cyclomontagnard is sure to be a great challenge in the life of a seasoned cyclist.
