Village and hamlets
Located between Belledonne and the Grandes Rousses, in the heart of the Alps, Oz en Oisans is made up of 10 hamlets and one resort, from 800 to 1350 m altitude. 10 hamlets scattered on either side make Oz one of the largest communes in Oisans. Oz Village, le Roberand, le Bessey, Sardonne, l’Ile d’Oz, le Boulangeard, le Pontonnier, la Beurrière, la Voûte, le Pré de l’Arche, l’Enversin. These hamlets, with their sometimes enigmatic names, are home to numerous treasures that bear witness to a past and architecture that is unique to the Oisans region: ancient barns, washhouses, fountains… Not forgetting the 19th-century church of Saint-Férréol in Oz Village, with its square pyramid-shaped bell tower.
