Unexplored :

La Mad'Oz (EN 11)

La Mad’Oz, a brand-new red enduro trail linking the Col de Poutran at the start of the Games area on L’Alpe d’Huez to the resort of Oz: 4.5 km of pure pleasure in a mineral and wooded environment close to the Roubier torrent. This enduro trail is ideal for intermediate to expert mountain bikers, and is over 4.5 km long. Starts from the Col de Poutran. The route runs alongside the Roubier stream, with sections on slabs, through woods and alongside the lake above the Oz resort. This hitherto unexplored environment will make this route one of the future “jewels” of the resort. A must-see!

Technology:

Poutran descent (D3)

With its highly technical layout, this internationally acclaimed downhill run at the highest level requires commitment at all times. Passages over stone slabs and then into the forest are followed by a sequence of banked turns, torrent crossings on a slope averaging 40% and over 65% in places. Experienced mountain bikers will be able to measure up to the greatest national and international champions, who hurtle down the track in less than 3 minutes!

Spectacular:

the Alpette enduro course (EN 9)

The Balcons trail, a black-level Enduro course, is at your disposal to reach Oz Station. You can start from the Poutran gondola lift at 2100m, taking the Col de Poutran link to the Alpette plateau overlooking the lakes, then attack the descent to the resort under the Alpette gondola lift, passing over a wooden footbridge above the scree slopes. Spectacular!

Vertiginous :

the Mégavalanche circuit (EN 1)

The Mégavalanche brings together over 2,000 competitors every year, who set off down the Pic Blanc glacier at an altitude of 3,330 meters. You can take this Enduro route and experience an unforgettable descent. Between snow, rocky paths and forest singles in the lower section, this trail lets you hurtle down over 2600 m of vertical drop without interruption.
